Do you enjoy watching films?

“I love watching films. Watching a movie is a really good way to relax and unwind after work and to escape from daily life. Sometimes you can even learn a lot from watching a film; particularly if it is historical or based on a true story. I definitely watch a lot of movies. Sometimes I watch films alone at home and at other times I go to the cinema with my friends.”

What is the last film you saw and did you like it?

The last film I saw was Parasite. My friends recommended it and it won a lot of awards so I had to see it for myself. I usually don't like films with subtitles because I find it hard to concentrate, but in this film, I didn't mind. The story is about a family who don't have a lot of money. They get jobs working in a rich family’s home and then take over. The characters were very relatable and the story was well-written.

It's difficult to say what genre it fits into. I think it's a comedy and a thriller. There were lots of comedic moments that had me crying with laughter but some surprising and scary ones, too. It was very good. It had me on the edge of my seat.

How often do you go to the cinema?

When I was in university I used to go to the cinema quite often. It's difficult for me to find the time now but I go to the cinema at least once a month. I like to go with my boyfriend or my friends and then we discuss the film afterwards in the cafe.

Do you prefer to watch films at home or in the cinema?

I think it depends on the film. I really enjoy 3D films so of course, when there is a new release I always try to catch them in the cinema. I enjoy the surround sound in the movie theatre too. It makes you feel as if you are in the middle of the action. Cinema tickets can be expensive though, so sometimes I like to make popcorn at home and watch a film after work.
