To 'aspire to' something means to direct your energy towards achieving something. It is a verb similar in meaning to 'wish' for something. You might aspire to own a big house for example or to become an executive of a company one day. You will hear this used in social situations: "I aspire to own my own home by the age of 35"; or in professional situations: "We aspire to dominate the board-games market."
