discover truth/secret/talent
‘To discover’ as a verb has a number of meanings. It can mean to find something unexpectedly. “The man discovered a rare artefact on his land.” If you find out a fact or become aware of something you can use ‘discover’. “He was unable to find out the truth about his wife’s spending.” Someone who finds or observes something for the first time ‘discovers’ it. “He discovered a powerful antidote to the poison.” “A new planet was discovered in the milky-way.” You can also ‘discover’ someone who has a talent.
