my belief system is important to me
A 'belief system' is a set of beliefs, ethics or morals an individual or organisation holds as important or at the core of their functioning. Often other decisions are made with the 'belief system' at the core. This phrase is most often used in reference to religious beliefs but can be used for other beliefs also. Useful in social and professional contexts. Similar to ‘morals’ or ‘code of ethics’.
